This shirt is the reason I founded ENGINE.

I was quite a bit out of shape, and doing a lot of exercises that required lifting my arms over my head, exposing literally my soft underbelly. I thought,

"It can't be that difficult to design a shirt that covers the parts I want to cover but make the things I like look even better?"

As it turns out, it was in fact not easy. It took several courses in clothing design, numerous sample productions and almost as many rejections until we managed to create this: 

The ENGINE Men’s Essential T-Shirt.

It's made for those of us who are looking for a light feeling performance shirt that fits right. Longer than most on the market, slightly fitted over the arms and chest, but relaxed and forgiving around the gut.  It works great during those workouts that puts the "Intensity" in "HIIT".

It's made from a polyester/spandex mix, light to the touch, breathable, moisture-wicking, and stretches when it needs to.

We began ENGINE with the intention to build responsibly from the start.

The fabrics used in this product are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning they are tested for harmful substances and are safe for direct contact with skin. At this stage, our garments are made using conventional fibres rather than recycled or organic materials.

Our packaging is biodegradable, and our hangtags are produced using recycled material. Products are manufactured in facilities that follow recognised labour and worker welfare standards.

We see sustainability as a process, not a marketing claim. As ENGINE grows, we aim to expand our material options and certifications responsibly, without compromising product quality or transparency.
